Tim had to have his "hoohoo" recircumscized today. He is sleeping now but doing well. The doctor said all went well. Lets see how the next few days go. I am bored right now, so thought I would catch up on my site.
Our garden is doing exceptonally well. We have picked about 18 canlopes and still have a patch full coming. Squash, Okra nd Cucumbers have been in abundance. We are still waiting on the tomatoes to ripen, but the green beans are starting to come in. Nothing like going out and picking dinner.
It has turned into quite the family project. Tim and I go down to the garden that he built in the Mule Pasture every night after dinner. The mules come down to greet us before we go in. Tamy brings friends and family over to it so they can see how many watermelons and cantaloupes we have. Justin always call to see if Tim got whatever part he needed for the race car that day, and Big D sometimes goes in just so he can call Tim and tell him what he is doing wrong with it.
I just cut up 8 Canteloupes for the freezer. Yum! I must be having a boredom moment....so rare.

Well it was another weekend of adventure. On Saturday morning at 6:00 Tim and I took off for the Laytown Wagon Train. This is where men meet with their mules, wagons and if they are lucky wives with food. For 4 hours you ride through the back roads of the North Carolina Mountains. The scenery was incredible. I thought I would share.

Justin has switched gears going from Go Kart racing to Late Model Dirt Track Racing. These are photos of his first race. He loved it! I was the only one showing and concern, until I saw the photos of Tim. The actual race was rained out, but he made it through practice and the qualification race. He did well. The kid is a natural.
Thank you. Tim is doing quite well. I knew he had a high tolerance for pain, but I thought that... read more
